About Stittsworth Meats® (Boilerplate)
Use this in articles, releases, and announcements.
Stittsworth Meats® is a four-generation family-owned smokehouse based in Bemidji, Minnesota. Founded in 1940 by Willie “Jipe” Stittsworth, the company today operates a USDA-inspected production facility in Turtle River, MN with a capacity of 100,000+ pounds per month, supplying 2,500+ retail partners across the Upper Midwest with handcrafted smoked sausage, brats, beef sticks, jerky, and summer sausage.
Stittsworth uses real wood smoke — hickory, apple, and cherry — in 12-to-18-hour smokehouse cycles, with whole-muscle cuts from named Midwest family farms. The company is owned by Mychal Stittsworth, the fourth generation, who also invented Minnesota’s first USDA-approved Mobile Slaughter Unit in 2017 — the concept that became Friesla.
